The night before Easter Tatum was at my parents for dinner. They were having a hard time getting her to eat so my mom used the trick of "you better be good you, never know when the Easter Bunny is watching you". My dad went on to say that if she wasn't good that the Easter Bunny might bring her a goat (for those that don't know Tatum is terrified of any furry animal on four legs, especially a goat since one tried to "eat" her at the petting zoo).
Tatum got off her chair and went to the window and looked out and said, "Easter Bunny please don't bring Tatum a goat. Tatum doesn't like goats".
Later on that night when we got home we colored eggs and got things ready for the Easter Bunny. We even put out a snack for him: carrots and a Capri Sun. After things were ready it was time for bed. We were up stairs doing PJs and brushing teeth when Tatum heard the door open. She quickly stopped what she was doing and ran to the banister of the stairs and yelled down, "Please Easter Bunny, Tatum doesn't like goats...NO GOATS!" I had to do everything I could to contain myself. She was so serious!
Easter Day was so much fun! The Easter Bunny did bring the girls lots of things...but no goat. :)
After church we had the family over as it has become tradition the last few years for barbecued ham and all the fixings. The holidays are always a great time to catch up with everyone since we all have such busy schedules. Not only is it a great time for catching up, but it's also a great time to get family pictures. However, trying to get everyone to look and smile at the camera all at one time is impossible...see below!
