Since Tatum was born we've had pretty much only family and close friends babysit for us, not because we couldn't trust anyone else, but because we couldn't find a babysitter. Well, we finally found one!! Last night the girls stayed with a sitter while we had a date night with a few friends.
A friend of mine kindly suggested that we try her niece, Sydney. She's 18 years old, has been around tons of kids, and has a great head on her shoulders. We thought she was perfect...Tatum thought otherwise! There are many times in a kids life that we know as parents isn't right, but you still can't help but laugh. Our little fashionista made it VERY clear to the sitter, "I don't like you because you are wearing blue. Only boys wear blue, girls wear pink"! Luckily, Sydney was a good sport and had no hard feelings. :)
The next morning I talked to Tatum about Sydney and asked her if she liked her new sitter. She came back with the same comment she had told Sydney, but she did go on to say that if Sydney would wear pink next time she would like her. To all future babysitters, and Sydney, PLEASE don't wear blue when babysitting...it's a job requirement!
